Consultation, Training & Supervision

Many therapists feel unqualified to work with neurodiversity, especially autism. You likely have the skills and just need support to locate what will work for you. We offer one time consultations or on-going support and supervision.

One of the most rewarding parts of our jobs has been the opportunity to train, mentor and support emerging therapists, licensed therapists and professionals. Collectively, we have been fortunate enough to lecture in two graduate programs and to supervise several amazing Marriage and Family Therapy Trainees and Associates.

Workshops and presentations are available on a variety of topics and intersecting needs from mental health, neurodiversity, behavior, and narrative practices. We tailor speaking engagements to the needs of the attendees and would love to speak with you to see how we might support your work or your organization:

  • Mental Health & Neurodiversity

  • Neurodiversity Affirming Principals and Practices in Action

  • Narrative Approaches to Supporting Autism

  • Understanding & Recognizing Autism

  • Rethinking Ability Discourses; Taking on a Disability Justice Framework

  • Relational Skills for Adolescents & Adults; Anti-Masking Principals & Practices

  • Neurologically-Based, Neurodiversity Affirming Behavior Supports

  • Managing Anxiety, Depression, and Other Stressors

  • Teacher and Staff Supports for Children with Sensory, Behavioral, Learning and Mental Health Differences and Concerns

  • … and many more

TESTIMONIAL

“I had the privilege of contracting with Dr. Olinger to support our students and special education staff. Dr. Olinger is incredibly knowledgeable in the field of autism and mental health as well as a skilled trainer and systemic thinker. Not only did Dr. Olinger successfully support our teams in the application of best practices for students with disabilities; however, she was integral in developing and implementing comprehensive professional development across the entire district. One of Dr. Olinger’s areas of expertise is her background in mental health as it relates to persons on the autism spectrum. We relied on her expertise and experience in this area to complete complex mental health assessments for our students as well as much needed strategies and interventions. Dr. Olinger is professional, insightful, conscientious and always provided top-notch consultation."
